All autistic children should learn to swim.
Children with autism are drawn to water. 90% of deaths of wandering autistic children are due to drowning. Therefore learning to swim could be the difference between life and death. In addition, water often provides a therapeutic relief of their sensory overloads and can give them a new lease on life.
Swimming is a skill for life! Be confident knowing that your child can swim.
